Mortgage Associate — Alberta
LeSolace Corporation is looking for a licensed Alberta Mortgage Associate who wants to build real mortgage business, not just sit under a brokerage name and hope leads show up.
This is a remote, contract-based role for someone who can work files properly, communicate clearly, follow compliance, and take clients seriously.
About LeSolace
LeSolace Corporation is a Canadian mortgage brokerage serving clients in Alberta, Manitoba, and Ontario.
We work with residential, commercial, private, alternative, refinance, self-employed, investor, and construction-style mortgage files.
We are not trying to be the biggest brokerage. We are building a strong, practical, file-focused brokerage that knows how to handle real borrower situations.
The focus is simple: understand the file, protect the client, respect the lender, and do the work properly.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Speak with clients and understand what they are actually trying to do.
- Review income, credit, down payment, property details, and mortgage goals.
- Work on purchases, refinances, renewals, HELOCs, private lending, and alternative lending files.
- Help with self-employed borrower files where income needs to be reviewed properly.
- Package files clearly before they go to lenders.
- Communicate with lenders, clients, appraisers, lawyers, and internal team members.
- Follow Alberta mortgage rules, brokerage process, privacy requirements, and file documentation standards.
- Keep proper notes and records. No guessing. No sloppy files.
Who This Is For
This is for someone who wants to build a serious mortgage career and is willing to learn the business properly.
- You are licensed, or working toward being licensed, as an Alberta Mortgage Associate.
- You are comfortable speaking with people and asking direct questions.
- You can follow a process and keep files organized.
- You understand that mortgage brokering is not just posting online and waiting.
- You are willing to learn residential, private, alternative, and commercial mortgage files.
- You care about compliance and doing things the right way.
- You can work remotely without needing someone to chase you every day.
What Helps
- Mortgage, banking, real estate, insurance, sales, or financial services experience.
- Knowledge of Alberta real estate markets.
- Comfort working with self-employed borrowers and business owners.
- Experience with private lending, refinances, investor files, or commercial deals.
- Ability to bring in your own business or build relationships in your market.
Experience helps, but attitude matters more. I would rather work with someone honest and coachable than someone who thinks they know everything and leaves messy files behind.
What We’re Not Looking For
- Someone who only wants a licence parked somewhere.
- Someone who disappears after getting set up.
- Someone who cuts corners on documents or compliance.
- Someone who overpromises to clients just to look good.
- Someone who cannot take direction.
Files We Work On
What You Get
- A brokerage focused on real mortgage files, not fake hype.
- Remote work with support when needed.
- Access to lender relationships across different mortgage types.
- Practical guidance on how to package and submit files.
- Room to grow if you take the role seriously.
- A direct environment. No corporate nonsense.
Compensation
This is a contract, commission-based role. Details depend on experience, licensing status, file volume, and fit with the brokerage.
The right person will be treated fairly. The wrong fit will not last here.
