About LeSolace

LeSolace Corporation is a boutique Canadian mortgage brokerage helping clients with residential, alternative, private, and commercial mortgage financing.

We are not trying to be the largest brokerage. Our focus is providing practical support, understanding the complete file, and finding mortgage solutions that make sense for the client.

We believe good mortgage work comes from clear communication, careful documentation, sound judgment, and respect for both the client and the lender.

Practical support for real mortgage files

Mortgage brokering involves more than quoting rates or having access to a long list of lenders. The right lender depends on the borrower's income, credit, property, down payment, goals, and overall situation.

LeSolace provides direct guidance on lender fit, file structure, documentation, and submission strategy. New associates can learn how to review a complete file, while experienced associates can receive another perspective when a situation is more complex.

The files we work on

Associates may gain experience across different areas of mortgage lending, including:

Purchases
Refinances
Renewals
Self Employed Borrowers
Private Mortgages
Alternative Lending
HELOCs
Commercial Mortgages
Investor Files
Bridge Financing
Construction and Renovation
Credit Challenges

What you will do

  • Develop your own client and referral network through prospecting, networking, and consistent follow up.
  • Speak with Alberta clients about their mortgage needs, goals, and financial situation.
  • Review income, credit, debt, down payment, equity, property details, and supporting documents.
  • Help structure and package mortgage applications for lender review.
  • Work on purchases, refinances, renewals, private mortgages, and alternative lending files.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, lenders, lawyers, appraisers, referral partners, and the brokerage.
  • Follow files from the first client conversation through approval, conditions, and funding.
  • Maintain complete notes, organized documents, and accurate compliance records.
  • Follow Alberta mortgage regulations, privacy requirements, and LeSolace brokerage procedures.

Skills we value

  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication.
  • Strong organization and close attention to documents, details, and deadlines.
  • Consistent client follow up and reliable recordkeeping.
  • Comfort asking clients direct questions about their income, credit, debt, and goals.
  • Initiative and the ability to build professional relationships.
  • Good judgment and a genuine commitment to privacy and compliance.
  • Confidence using online systems, CRM software, email, and digital documents.
  • The ability to accept guidance, learn from feedback, and apply it to future files.
  • Time management and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Who can apply

We welcome both experienced associates and people beginning their mortgage careers. Previous mortgage experience is an asset, but it is not required.

  • You must currently live in Alberta.
  • You are licensed with RECA as an Alberta Mortgage Associate, or you are completing the required Alberta mortgage education and licensing process.
  • You must be eligible to register with LeSolace before performing any licensed mortgage activities.
  • You understand that this is a remote, commission based contract opportunity.
  • You are prepared to prospect, build relationships, and develop your own book of business.
  • You have a reliable internet connection, telephone access, and an appropriate place to work privately.

Experience that may help

  • Mortgage lending, banking, real estate, insurance, sales, or financial services.
  • Client service, relationship management, or business development.
  • Knowledge of Calgary, Edmonton, or other Alberta real estate markets.
  • Experience working with self employed clients, investors, or business owners.

Experience is helpful, but strong communication, organization, honesty, and willingness to learn are equally important.

  • Direct access to the broker for file review and lender strategy.
  • Access to lender relationships across different mortgage types.
  • Guidance on lender selection, file packaging, and submission strategy.

  • An opportunity to grow within a smaller brokerage where your work is recognized.

Working remotely and building your business

Remote work provides flexibility, but it also requires personal responsibility. Associates are expected to manage their schedules, stay in contact with clients, maintain their files, and follow through on commitments.

This role includes business development. Associates are responsible for building their own client and referral relationships. Mortgage leads are not guaranteed.

LeSolace will provide brokerage support and file guidance, but your results will depend on the time, consistency, and effort you put into developing your business.

Compensation

This is an independent contractor and commission based opportunity. It does not include a salary or hourly wage.

The commission structure depends on experience, licensing status, and the level of file support required. Compensation will be reviewed during the interview and confirmed in writing before joining the brokerage.
