Same tools. Different support.
LeSolace Corporation is looking for Alberta Mortgage Associates who want practical support, straight talk, and real file strategy.
Most brokerages talk about tools. The truth is, most decent brokerages have tools now. CRM. Lenders. Compliance. Training. Great. But that is not the real difference.
The real difference is what happens when the file is not simple.
A lender list is not a strategy.
Some brokerages talk about having access to 100 lenders. That sounds impressive, but it does not mean much by itself.
You do not work with all 100 lenders on every file. You need to know which lender fits the borrower, income, credit, property, province, loan purpose, and exit strategy.
That is where practical support matters. Not just a long lender list. Not just generic training. Real help understanding the file and where it may actually fit.
About LeSolace
LeSolace Corporation is a Canadian mortgage brokerage serving clients in Alberta, Manitoba, and Ontario.
We are not trying to be the biggest brokerage. We are building a practical, file-focused brokerage that knows how to handle real borrower situations.
Our focus is simple: understand the file, protect the client, respect the lender, and do the work properly.
This is for someone who wants to learn the business properly.
Mortgage brokering is not just posting online and waiting. It is not just quoting rates. It is not just saying you have lender access.
It is asking the right questions, reviewing the documents, understanding the risk, packaging the file, and knowing which lender may actually make sense.
Files we work on
LeSolace works on residential and non-bank mortgage files, including:
What you will be doing
- Speak with Alberta clients and understand what they are actually trying to do.
- Review income, credit, down payment, equity, property details, and mortgage goals.
- Work on purchases, refinances, renewals, HELOCs, private lending, and alternative lending files.
- Help with self-employed borrower files where income needs to be reviewed properly.
- Package files clearly before they go to lenders.
- Communicate with clients, lenders, appraisers, lawyers, referral partners, and internal team members.
- Follow Alberta mortgage rules, brokerage process, privacy requirements, and file documentation standards.
- Keep proper notes and records. No guessing. No sloppy files.
Who this is for
This is for someone who wants to build a serious mortgage career in Alberta and is willing to learn the business properly.
- You are licensed, or working toward being licensed, as an Alberta Mortgage Associate.
- You are located in Calgary, Edmonton, or anywhere in Alberta.
- You are comfortable speaking with people and asking direct questions.
- You can follow a process and keep files organized.
- You understand this is commission-based.
- You are willing to prospect, follow up, and build relationships.
- You want to learn real mortgage files, not just rate quotes.
- You care about compliance and doing things the right way.
- You can work remotely without needing someone to chase you every day.
What helps
- Mortgage, banking, real estate, insurance, sales, or financial services experience.
- Knowledge of Alberta real estate markets, including Calgary, Edmonton, and surrounding communities.
- Comfort working with self-employed borrowers, business owners, investors, and clients with complex income.
- Experience with private lending, refinances, investor files, alternative lending, or commercial deals.
- Ability to bring in your own business or build relationships in your local market.
Experience helps, but attitude matters more. I would rather work with someone honest and coachable than someone who thinks they know everything and leaves messy files behind.
What we are not looking for
- Someone who only wants a licence parked somewhere.
- Someone who disappears after getting set up.
- Someone who cuts corners on documents or compliance.
- Someone who overpromises to clients just to look good.
- Someone who cannot take direction.
- Someone who treats mortgage brokering like a side hobby with no follow-up.
- Someone who expects guaranteed leads.
- Someone looking for a salary position.
What you get
- A lean brokerage focused on real mortgage files, not fake hype.
- Remote work with practical support when needed.
- Access to lender relationships across different mortgage types.
- Guidance on lender fit, file packaging, and submission strategy.
- Exposure to residential, private, alternative, self-employed, investor, and commercial mortgage files.
- A direct environment. No corporate nonsense.
- Room to grow if you take the role seriously.
Compensation
This is a contract, commission-based role. It is not a salaried position.
Details depend on experience, licensing status, file volume, and fit with the brokerage.
The right person will be treated fairly. The wrong fit will not last here.
